So easy, and I've never achieved stock so rich on the stovetop no matter how hard I tried! I've done chicken stock as well as turkey, and truly, I'll never do it another way. I'd love to try beef stock using this as well... I just don't tend to have many beef bones around.

Can't wait to hear how it goes! Good luck!Mom In Scrubshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14763331231675950021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3526362046500894416.post-55537698682236486832014-05-28T21:19:09.857-05:002014-05-28T21:19:09.857-05:00Loved your post. Oh, what a difference! I love cooking with bold flavors and roasted stock has enabled me to take a lot of dishes to the next level.

There are 2 of us in the household and we save all chicken bones, be it a rotisserie chicken carcass bought at Costco or the bones from an order of hot wings (I leave them as is with any remaining hot sauce), or a homecooked whole chicken, breasts, wings or thighs. All bones go in the freezer until we have about 3-4 gallon ziplocks full. I also sometimes buy backs and necks to add to the pot.

But now you have added the possibility of simplifying things in the oven. Whoa.... way cool. Without a doubt I will try this next time. Although I am willing to spend hours on end to develop deep flavors, I am VERY open to learning methods to reduce my time and efforts for the same results.

Thanks very much. Will post back when I try your method in a few months. I have a feeling the results will be kick ass.Da Pepperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14139320051755169740noreply@blogger.com
