Omnivore 100

Kind of a fun meme-thingy, as I love to try new and interesting food.

Here’s what I want you to do:
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating. (I hate having to do the html to get the crossout, so I'm going to italics them)
4) Optional extra: Post a comment here at http://www.verygoodtaste.co.uk/ linking to your results.

Wow girl you've got quite the list!!!!! And I thought I would have quite a few . . .you've got me beat by a mile:)
Fun stuff!

I thought I was the only one out there who hasn't had a Big Mac meal.

I knew you would beat me on this! But I have tried well over half the list. How did our parents get such picky eaters to try escargot and rattlesnake?

I'm gonna do this later in the week.

You also have me beat by a mile, and I consider myself a foodie. Heck, I even WORKED in the specialty foods industry. Amazing.

This will be on my blog later this week! You definitly beat me!

Wow - you've eaten a lot of weird stuff. I'm not a picky eater at all, but haven't even heard of some of these things!

I hate to admit it but I didn't even recognise half of this list. I feel culturally bereft! I have no problem at least trying out most things - I'd even give the insects a shot as long as they'd been cooked. It's the horse that I couldn't eat. it just seems wrong somehow!

By the way - black pudding's not bad, although the idea of it is frankly, barfy.

I've eaten many of these things, but didn't recognize a lot of the foreign stuff, either.

Know what grosses me out to eat? Steamers! Because when I was first introduced to steamed clams, it was literally the day after my Mollusca exam and I had had to dissect a huge clam and i.d. all its body parts. So eating a steamer wasn't just slurp and swallow, it was an inventory and grossed me out! Plus, the grittiness factor. I have to ignore that sardines have bones and guts when I eat them, too.
